Illinois State Senate Candidate Michael Bond
Straight Talk Might Earn Bond his Vote
Robert Flanary
Michael Bond said something very interesting to me last week. He knocked on my door and asked me what issue was most important to me.
I've lived in Lake County for 11 years and my answer to that question has been the same for 10: transportation. He gave his word that if the traffic on the main state roads around here isn't noticeably better after he's in the state Senate for four years, then he will run for a second term.
At first I thought that he was getting a little ahead of himself, not yet having won the election (that doesn't even happen for six months). But after thinking about for a while, his pledge began to grow on me. I don't always vote Democrat, but if Mr Bond is serious about this pledge, then I'll give him a shot.
